In January 2005, Markus Pucel (*1967), graduate engineer for process and energy technology, founded the engineering office pucel (ibp) for customer-specific cooling units in series. In 2015, the ibp became the manufacturing company ibp-refrigeration systems. The company based in Waltrop sees itself as a know-how forge for device cooling and thermodynamics. All plans and prototypes are created on the computer with great attention to detail and in close cooperation with the customer.

Head of ibp refrigeration systems is Markus Pucel. After training as a refrigeration system engineer and 16 years on the job, the native of Herner studied mechanical engineering and process engineering at the University of Essen with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Fritz Steimle, one of the leading German scientists in the field of thermodynamics. After completing his studies, Markus Pucel gained experience abroad as a development engineer for control cabinet cooling units.

Since its founding, ibp founder Markus Pucel has successfully made a name for himself nationwide with special solutions that are perfectly tailored to the needs of customers. ibp refrigeration systems is known for solving even highly complex problems efficiently and cost-effectively.
